Emirates has opened its refurbished premium lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle, and is planning to renovate all of its existing lounges in line with a new design concept.
The lounge is open to first and business class passengers, as well as Platinum and Gold Emirates Skywards loyalty card holders.
This is the first existing lounge to be refurbished in line with the Gulf carrier’s new design concept, originally on display at Emirates’ new Concourse A lounges in Dubai.
The refurbishment cost €3.8 million and has seen the lounge relocated between Terminal 2A and 2C. The lounge has also been expanded by 67 per cent, now totalling 926sqm.
Mohammed Mattar, Emirates’ divisional senior vice president airport services said: “Selecting our lounge in Paris as the first destination to receive the new look refurbishment was an easy choice. Our capacity to Paris has increased significantly this year, with the instalment of a second daily A380 and our commitment to the city has also grown.”
The lounge features mixed seating, shower facilities, a business centre, wifi, a prayer room, a dining area, complimentary hot and cold buffets and a full bar service.
The furnishings include leather armchairs, mahogany furniture, Italian marble floors and gold Rolex clocks.
The Emirates network of 35 existing lounges will now all be refurbished over the next 18 to 24 months, according to the new design.
