Sheraton rolls out Social Hour programme worldwide

16 May 2013

Sheraton has introduced its popular Social Hour wine tasting events at some 430 properties worldwide, up from the previous 240 participating Sheraton hotels. The event is held three or four times a week, offering guests the chance to taste a variety of premium wines from a specially curated menu, as well as interact and socialise with the other attendees.

The programme was initially launched in May 2012, and is part of Starwood's Wines of the World scheme, which involves over 30 wineries in countries including Argentina, Australia, China, Chile, France, India, Italy, New Zealand, South Africa, Spain and the US.

At The Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel, Social Hour tasting events are hosted three times per week, and each time there are three pours of 50ml premium wines featured from “Wines of the World” menu for HK$105 (US$13.5). The event takes place at the Lobby Lounge every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6pm to 8pm.

In most properties across the Middle East, non-alcoholic options designed to respect local traditions are offered for the Social Hour.
