Hilton Worldwide is opening two hotels in The Netherlands as part of its Hampton by Hilton brand.
The 181-room Hampton by Hilton Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has already begun welcoming guests, while the 254-room Hampton by Hilton Amsterdam/Arena Boulevard, which is next to Amsterdam Arena, opens in mid-May.
The Schiphol property, situated one train stop from the airport, is a conversion of an office building and has its own car park.
Its sister hotel in Amsterdam is linked to the city centre by direct train to Centraal Station via the Bijlmer Arena station.
Both hotels will offer complimentary internet access, hot breakfast included in the room rate, and 24-hour business and fitness centres.
Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, development, Europe and Africa, Hilton Worldwide, said: “This is an economy hotel brand with a proven track record as a leader in its field and we’re confident these latest properties at the airport and arena will be hugely popular.”
The news comes just days after Hampton by Hilton opened a branch in Exeter (see online news, April 2013).
The budget Hampton by Hilton brand first entered Europe in 2009 and now has more than 60 hotels trading and under development.
