IHG’s boutique Hotel Indigo brand will add its first property in Italy next year, located on Via Giulia in Rome’s historic centre.
The 64-room Hotel Indigo Rome-St George is a conversion of the existing St George Hotel, and is scheduled to rebrand in the first quarter of 2014.
The property will feature spa facilities with sauna and Turkish bath, as well as a restaurant, rooftop terrace, gym, and free wifi throughout.
The hotel is located on Via Giulia, a street noted for antique shops and art galleries, and situated around 1km from the Vatican.
In February Hotel Indigo opened its first property in Spain, a 77-room hotel located close to Barcelona’s Plaza Catalunya (see online news February 6).
The brand also opened its third property in London late last year, housed within a former Victorian manor house close to Earl’s Court tube station (see online news December 13, 2012)
