Hilton’s Doubletree brand has opened its first property in South Africa, a 183-room hotel in Cape Town’s Woodstock district.
The Doubletree by Hilton Cape Town – Upper Eastside features nine meeting rooms, a 350-capacity function room, fitness and business centres, Liberty’s restaurant and eStreet bar and lounge.
Formerly known as The Upper Eastside Hotel, the renovated property is located in the Woodstock district to the east of Cape Town’s city centre, an area which has become known for its trendy art galleries, boutiques, bars and restaurants.
The hotel is the first Doubletree property in South Africa, and the fifth under the Hilton Worldwide umbrella, joining the Hilton Cape Town City Centre, the Hilton Durban, the Hilton Sandton, and the Conrad Pezula in Knysna.
