Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened its latest Holiday Inn property in New York.
The eight storey Holiday Inn NYC - Lower East Side is located at 150 Delancey Street, leading onto Williamsburg Bridge and around nine miles from the city’s LaGuardia airport.
Features include 132 rooms, a fitness centre, Retro Bar and Grill, and lobby facilities including a “grab and go café”, a 24 hour shop, and “a new approach to the business centre via an eBar”.
The opening of the new Holiday Inn follows IHG’s announcement last week that it is to offer free internet access to all loyalty scheme members from next year (see online news March 26).
The group will rebrand its Priority Club Rewards programme as IHG Rewards Club, and will offer free internet access to elite members from July, before extending the benefit to all members during 2014.
