Iberia and GOL launch reciprocal FFP agreement

3 Apr 2013 by BusinessTraveller

Spanish carrier Iberia and Brazilian airline GOL have launched reciprocal earn and burn privileges on each other’s frequent flyer programmes.

Members of the Iberia Plus scheme can now earn and redeem on GOL-operated services, and likewise members of the Brazilian carrier’s Smiles programme can earn and burn on Iberia flights.

The new agreement expands on the existing codeshare agreement between the two carriers.

Brazil is Iberia’s largest Latin American market, with daily flights from Madrid to Rio de Janeiro, and twice daily services to Sao Paulo.
