Air China to launch Beijing-Houston route

22 Mar 2013

Air China will launch a new route between Beijing and Houston in July, inaugurating its first route to the south-central part of the US.

The Beijing-Houston service will be four times weekly. Flights from Beijing will take off on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, while the return flights will be on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

The route will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER. This will bring the number of US destinations served by Air China to four, including Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco, and enhance the carrier's connectivity with the central part of the US.

Meanwhile, Air China will increase its flight frequencies from Beijing to New York, Los Angeles and Vancouver.

Starting from March 31, the Beijing-New York service will be enhanced to 11 weekly flights, deploying a B777-300ER to replace the old B747. From the same day, flights from Beijing to Los Angeles will be increased to twice daily, and be operated with the B777-300ER as well.

The Beijing-Vancouver route will have 11 weekly flights from May 17. The aircraft to be deployed will be Airbus A330-200.
