Scoot to launch Seoul service

21 Mar 2013

Singaporean low cost carrier Scoot has announced that it will launch a thrice-weekly service to Incheon International Airport, Seoul – via Taiwan Taoyuan – on May 29.

The flights will depart on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and will leave Singapore at 1335 for a 1815 arrival in Taiwan. An hour later, the flight will take off for Seoul, where it will touch down at 2235.

On the return leg flights will leave Incheon at 2345, arrive in Taiwan at 0125 the next day, take off an hour later and land back in Singapore at 0645.

The service will be flown by a B777-200 aircraft, which will be configured with 370 economy and 32 ScootBiz seats. Scoot's new in-flight streaming service (see here) will be available on board this flight.

This is Scoot's 10th destination in total, with others including Tianjin (see here), Sydney, Bangkok, and Tokyo. This service will be the first low-cost link between Singapore and Seoul. Tickets go on sale on Monday.
