14 Mar 2013 by BusinessTraveller

The Lufthansa Group has announced a major order for Airbus A320 and A380 aircraft.

The group approved the acquisition of over 100 new aircraft last month (see online news February 20), and has now confirmed the details, with two new A380s set to join the fleet, along with 100 A320 family aircraft.

The A320 acquisitions will be split as follows: 35 A320 Neos, 35 A321 Neos, and 30 A320 Ceos with sharklets.

The Lufthansa Group currently operates 271 A320 family aircraft and ten superjumbos.
