7 Mar 2013

Indian carrier Jet Airways has started using a brand new A330-300 on its daily Delhi-Toronto (via Brussels) service this week, offering enhanced facilities and increased capacity on the popular route.

The new aircraft has a fuselage that is 5.4 metres longer than the A330-200 aircraft previously used for this service, and allows for a total increased capacity of 73 additional seats. It also enables for significantly more legroom in the economy section, and an all-new "Première cabin" (business class) with 34 air-cushioned, 180-degree lie-flat beds seats. The business class seat has pumped air lumbar support, a massage feature, and a 12.1-inch monitor in-flight entertainment system, as well as Vantage 2 suite passenger control units to activate these features. The cabin is also quieter and incorporates innovative products such as seat belts with air bags across the classes.

“We are happy to deploy a bigger and better, state-of-the-art aircraft with additional capacity on the popular Delhi–Brussels–Toronto sector which has seen a steady growth in traffic, be it tourist or business travelers,” says Sudheer Raghavan, chief commercial officer, Jet Airways.

The carrier currently operates four A330-300s, which also fly on the Mumbai-Brussels route.
