Hilton Worldwide has announced a major expansion of its economy Hampton by Hilton and mid-market Hilton Garden Inn brands across Germany and Austria.
The group is to open ten new properties through a strategic development agreement with Foremost Hospitality Management.
The majority of the hotels are expected to open in key German locations under the Hampton by Hilton brand, although Austrian destinations are also being considered.
The first confirmed properties are the Hampton by Hilton Nuremberg, expected to open next year, and the Hampton by Hilton Stuttgart, slated for 2015. Further deals are set to be announced “in the coming months”.
The 80-room Nuremberg hotel will be located within walking distance of the city’s main railway station, and will feature signature Hampton by Hilton facilities including free internet and hot breakfast. The Stuttgart property will have 165 rooms across eight floors, and will be located around 1km from the city’s central rail station.
Hilton introduced its Garden Inn offering to the UK in 2008, with the opening of the Hilton Garden Inn Luton North, followed by the first UK Hampton property in 2009 – the Hampton by Hilton Corby – in 2009.
