Cathay adds fifth daily return service to London

7 Feb 2013

Cathay Pacific Airlines (CX) has announced that it will add a fifth daily return service to London Heathrow starting June 27.

The extra flight will take off from Hong Kong International Airport at 1025 for a 1615 arrival in London. The return leg will depart Heathrow at 2235, and touch down in Hong Kong at 1720 the next day.

The extra service will be operated by a B777-300ER aircraft, and will add 1,000 extra Premium Economy Class seats each way to the market every month. The new seat was introduced in February last year (see here), and has experienced high demand since, a CX representative says.

The carrier also added that during the year it is planning to increase frequencies on the New York and Los Angeles services, which are currently flown 25 and 17 times a week respectively.
