Qatar Airways keeps Dreamliners grounded until at least February 7

25 Jan 2013 by ReggieHo
Qatar Airways will keep its fleet of Dreamliners grounded until Febraury 7 due to recent issues with the aircraft.

According to industry website Airline Route, the carrier will resume its fifth daily Doha-London Heathrow service on February 1 using Airbus A330-300 and A340-600 aircraft instead of the B787. These arrangements will be implemented until February 7.

This comes shortly after the carrier announced it will also postpone deploying the B787 on its Doha-Perth route, which was scheduled to take place from February 1 onwards (see story here).

As reported earlier, investigations into the Dreamliner battery failure will continue until further notice (see story here).
