Emirates and TAP Portugal sign reciprocal codeshare agreement

10 Jan 2013

Emirates and TAP Portugal have launched a reciprocal codeshare agreement, effective immediately, offering passengers of both airlines smoother connections to destinations across Europe and Asia.

Under the agreement customers, Emirates’ EK code will appear on TAP Portugal-operated flights from Lisbon to Porto, Faro, Seville, Madrid and Barcelona. In return, TAP’s TP code will be placed on Emirates-operated flights between Lisbon and Dubai and also from Dubai to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

Furthermore, the agreement allows passengers to book a single combined ticket with both carriers while also linking both airlines’ frequent flyer programmes, Skywards and Victoria, in order to enjoy reciprocal benefits, including mileage accumulation and redemption.

Currently, Emirates operates daily flights to and from Lisbon and Barcelona (see story here) and a double daily service to Madrid.
