British Airways is to lease two new B777-300ER aircraft from Air Lease Corporation under a ten-year agreement, with the aircraft set to be delivered in May and July next year.
The two B777s form part of a larger ALS order agreed with Boeing in 2011.
BA currently has six B777-300ER aircraft in its fleet, the first of which was delivered in 2010.
These aircraft feature the carrier’s latest World Traveller and World Traveller Plus products, as well as a Thales AVOD in-flight entertainment system (see online news September 3, 2010).
It’s not yet clear how the ALS leased aircraft will be configured – for a review of BA’s World Traveller Plus product on one of its existing B777-300ER aircraft, click here.
