Accor has opened the Ibis Styles London Excel, located opposite Custom House Docklands Light Railway station and the Excel Conference Centre.
The 302-room property was previously known as the Custom House Hotel, and is the fourth Ibis Styles property in greater London, following Accor’s decision to revamp its economy brands in 2011 (for more information click here).
The group says the hotel has undergone “an exciting refurbishment of bedrooms and public spaces”, with rooms featuring a workdesk, TV, tea and coffee facilities and a shower room.
Food and beverage options include a café, steakhouse, and the Custom House Pub, and the hotel also offers four meeting spaces for up to 150 people.
Recent hotels to open near to Excel include the Aloft London Excel (2011) and the Travelodge London Excel Hotel (2012). In 2011 Park Inn by Radisson announced plans for a 233-room property, to be housed within a 20-storey building close to the conference centre (see online news January 18, 2011).
