Heathrow launches Christmas gift giveaway

Heathrow airport has launched a Christmas giveaway lasting throughout December, with lucky passenger being surprised with gifts at arrivals and departures.

Among the brands taking part in the giveaway include Hamleys, which will be surprising families with teddy bears at baggage reclaim, and Oakley, which will be giving away free winter survival kits to travellers heading to ski destinations.

Apple, Lacoste, Jimmy Choo, World Duty Free, Ted Baker, No.1 Traveller, Expo art gallery, Heathrow Express, Rhubarb, Godiva, Sunglass Hut, Police, Hackett, WHSmiths and Caviar House will also be taking part in the promotion.

Around 105,000 passengers will depart Heathrow on Friday December 21, and the airport will have Santa on hand to “help with any last minute present requests”, and elves to hand out free mince pies.

Other activities at the airport during December include carol singing, chocolate treat giveaways for children, art and craft sessions, and security family lanes.
