Lufthansa has unveiled the slogan for the new Germanwings offering which will serve short-haul routes from next year.
In September the carrier announced it would create a low-cost offering to operate non-hub domestic and European routes (see online news September 19).
Lufthansa will officially unveil the new offering on December 6 at an event in Cologne at which Business Traveller will be present, but ahead of this the carrier has confirmed that the slogan for the revamped Germanwings will be "reasonable, but not cheap".
In a release Lufthansa said that "With a new brand appearance and an enhanced passenger experience, the airline will gradually take over Lufthansa’s point-to-point routes, significantly expanding its capacity and network.
"The 'new Germanwings' – a quality provider among the low-cost airlines – will offer both business and leisure travellers a wide range of customised services."
This week we revealed that Lufthansa will phase in the new budget flights, with the first officially announced route being Nuremberg to Hamburg (see online news November 26).
