Aloft to debut in Germany

27 Nov 2012 by BusinessTraveller

Starwood’s Aloft brand is to open two properties in Munich and Stuttgart in 2015, marking the debut of the brand in Germany.

The hotels will be owned and developed by the Schörghuber Corporate Group, with Aloft Munich being located next to Munich Central Station and featuring 184 rooms, and Aloft Stuttgart (pictured below) being part of the Milaneo mixed-use development in the city’s European quarter and offering 165 rooms.

Both hotels will feature signature Aloft facilities including “loft-like guest rooms, a buzzing bar scene in the open lobby, a grab-and go café and industrial design elements throughout”.

Aloft debuted in the UK late last year with the opening of the Aloft London Excel (see online news November 10, 2011), and recently announced plans to open its first property in South Korea (see online news August 10).
