It’s a common scenario: your flight lands late in the evening so you don’t check into the hotel until past midnight. Or you have to leave very early in the morning, many hours before the official check out time. With most hotels, even though you’re only staying half the time, you still have to pay the rate for the full night. Fortunately though, some hotels are daring to be different. Here are five hotels in Asia offering you more flexibility about exactly when you check in, and out, of you room.
Where? Hong Kong
Which properties? The Cosmopolitan Hotel Hong Kong in Wan Chai, Cosmo Hotel Hong Kong in Causeway Bay and the Cosmo Hotel Mongkok.
What is offered? The group’s three hotels have a 24-hour check-in and check-out programme which allows guests to choose when they check in and then stay a full 24-hours, not needing to check out until the same time the next day.
How useful is it? At the moment the service is only available in these three Dorsett International properties – chosen because of the fact that they are located in round-the-clock areas of Hong Kong. A spokesperson for the hotel said the group may look into the feasibility of offering the service elsewhere.
