Delta continues fully-flat business seat rollout

Delta has continued the rollout of its fully-flat Business Elite seat to routes from Stuttgart and Moscow.

The carrier now offers its flatbed business class seat on B767-300ER flights between Stuttgart and Atlanta, and between Moscow and New York.

Delta already offers the fully-flat Business Elite seat on flights from the US to 11 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, including London services. The carrier has now fitted the seat to all of its B777, B747-400 and B767-400ER aircraft, as well as 13 of its B767-300ERs.

More routes featuring the seat will be added as additional B767-300ERs are fitted, and by mid-2014 all of Delta’s 140 wide-body international fleet will have been fitted with the fully-flat seat, as well as an upgraded economy offering “with personal entertainment at every seat”.

From next year the carrier will also roll out the flatbed business class seat on transcontinental services between New York and Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle, beginning with flights between JFK and LA from March. Over the next two years Delta will roll out the seat to all B757 and B767 aircraft serving these routes.

  • what about the 757’s that continue to ply some of their european routes ? Its scandalous how Delta has no shame to charge a biz class fare for an old style cradle biz class seat !

  • Much too late, DELTA is way behind other airlines, esp SWISS.

We have choosen SWISS for our next trips as service and comfort on a high level.

    Good night DELTA
