Virgin Atlantic Flying Club members can use a new option for boosting their mileage account with the Miles Booster, while also earning a 1,000 mile bonus with each use.
The Miles Booster is a new product which gives all Flying Club members the opportunity to purchase additional Flying Club miles together with an upcoming flight in order to double or triple the point-to-point base flown miles earned, as well as earning a bonus 1,000 miles each time they use it.
Pricing of the Miles Booster is dependent on the number of base miles being awarded on the flight and payment is taken at the point of sale. Miles purchased via the Miles Booster Programme will be priced at £0.015 per mile, plus an additional £15.00 transaction fee per purchase, or $0.025USD per mile, plus an additional $25.00 transaction fee.
This is the same price as when simply buying miles through the Flying Club website, however there is no bonus applied when buying miles.
For example, a passenger doubling their miles on a one-way flight from London to New York is effectively purchasing an additional 3,458 miles, which will cost 3,458 x £0.015, plus the additional £15 transaction fee, for a total of £66.87.
Purchase of miles through the Miles Booster programme can be made from the time of flight booking until the original date of the first sector of the flight in the itinerary, or up to six months after the original date of the first sector. Only flights under the VS designator code qualify for Miles Booster.

Customers may choose to accelerate base flown miles from all or a portion of the sectors of the associated itinerary.
Miles Booster also allows members the opportunity to earn miles on redemption flights, where you would not normally earn miles. However, no tier points will be earned.
