US Airways is to offer a daily seasonal service between Shannon and Philadelphia for the first time in four years.
The route will resume on May 22 next year, running until September 3, operated by a 176-seater two-class B757-200 aircraft.
The Shannon service will also allow passengers to pre-clear US customs in Ireland, arriving in Philadelphia as a domestic customer and potential saving significant time spent in immigration queues.
Flights will depart Shannon at 1135, arriving into Philadelphia at 1405, with the return leg leaving the US at 2105, landing in Ireland at 0840 the following day.
US Airways also offers a year-round daily service between Dublin and Philadelphia, and seasonal daily flights between Dublin and Charlotte.
