KLM has announced an increase in frequencies on its Norwich-Amsterdam route.
The Dutch carrier will add an additional daily flight from April 1, 2013, meaning it will offer a total of four flights per day on the route. The carrier has actually offered a four times-daily service on this route as recently as 2009, so this is in fact a return to the previous frequency.
KLM said that load factors on the route “have increased year on year”, and are now running at just over 73 per cent.
The carrier said the additional frequency would “allow for swifter connections to our long-haul network and in addition, it will give far greater flexibility to travellers doing business in Amsterdam and Europe who need to return to Norwich on the same day”.
According to KLM the most popular destinations for long-haul connecting services from Norwich are to Bangkok, Dubai, Hong Kong and New York.
Tickets for the new service will be on sale from October 20, and the full revised schedule is shown below.
