AirAsia Japan to fly to Seoul

AirAsia Japan today announced that it will begin international operations by launching flights between Tokyo Narita and Seoul Incheon from October 28.

Flight JW893, using an A320 aircraft with 180 seats, will leave Tokyo at 1415, landing in the South Korean capital at 1700. The return leg JW892 will leave at 1745 and arrive at 2000.

According to CAPA Centre For Aviation, AirAsia Japan’s chief executive Kazuyuki Iwakata has stated that fares for the flight will range between ¥6,980 (US$90) and ¥29,980 (US$384). 

For inbound passengers from Seoul, AirAsia Japan then offers domestic connections between Narita and Sapporo, Fukuoka and Okinawa.

Other airlines operating this route include Asiana, Korean Air, JAL, United and Delta.

AirAsia Japan is also expected to begin flying between Tokyo Narita and the Korean city of Busan in late November.
