Malaysia Airlines is upping its A380 service from London Heathrow from one daily flight to double daily from 24 November. The airline introduced the daily flights in August (see online news August 13).

At present one daily service is with an A380 with the airline's new products in economy, business and first class, and one B747-400.

Further details: the double daily flights on the A380 mean an increase in weekly seat capacity of 16 per cent, from 5971 to 6916 in each direction. The double daily service is as a result of MAS  receiving another two of its six A380s by the end of this October.

In addition MAS will also commence daily A380 operations for Paris-Kuala Lumpur-Paris effective 01 March 2013 next year, to replace the current B777 daily services on this route.

NB: Edit - the date has on this piece has been edited to reflect the service starting from 24 November, not 25 November as previously reported.
