United Airlines has announced a new daily flight between its Houston hub and London Heathrow from March 30 2013.
The third daily flight UA970 departs Houston at 2030 arriving in London at 1205 the next day. The return flight UA971 departs London Heathrow daily at 1305 arriving in Houston 1745 the same day.
The new flight will be operated by a two-class B767-30 aircraft with United fully-flat BusinessFirst seating and economy, including the Economy Plus seating. Tickets for the new service go on sale from October 6.
United has also announced new flights next summer from Chicago to Shannon, Ireland, effective from June 6 to August 26, 2013 (both dates eastbound to Europe), subject to government approval.
The five times weekly flights will depart Chicago O’Hare daily except Tuesday and Wednesday at 1810 (UA66) arriving in Shannon 0725 the following day.
The return flight, UA67, will depart Shannon daily except Wednesday and Thursday at 1100 arrving in Chicago at 1310 the same day.
This flight will be operated by a B757-200 aircaft with 16 in BusinessFirst, 45 Economy Plus and 108 Economy seats.
Tickets for this route are on sale from today.
