Marriott International has opened its second executive apartment property in the centre of Beijing.
The Imperial Mansion Executive Apartments is located in Beijing’s Wanfujing district just east of the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. It is about 2km west of the capital’s primary business district in Chaoyang.
There are 220 apartments, all equipped with a desk and ergonomic chair, ipod docking station and 42-inch television. Internet is available in all the units for an additional fee.
Designed for longer stays, the apartments feature full kitchen facilities with a stove, microwave and refrigerator, along with a washer dryer and ironing board.
Studio apartments measure 64-76 sqm (689-818 sqft) with a living area separated from the bed by a privacy wall. The one-bedroom apartments measure 78-90 sqm (839–968 sqft) and there are also larger one-bedroom suites. All have two bathrooms.

There are also two-bedroom apartments, measuring 101–116 sqm (1,087-1,248 sqft) with three bathrooms, and slightly larger two-bedroom suites. Finally, there are three-bedroom apartments measuring 224-228 sqm (2,410-2,453 sqft).
Almost all of the rooms have balconies providing views out over the city, some of which overlook the Forbidden City.
The property has a fitness centre and heated 25 metre indoor swimming pool which are accessible to guests 24 hours a day.
There is also a 180 sqm multifunctional meeting space available to guests.
In Beijing, Marriott International also operates The Sandalwood Beijing Marriott Executive Apartments which opened in 2009 and is located further east on the other side of the Chaoyang district (see here).
