IHG’s boutique brand Hotel Indigo is to expand further in Europe and the Middle East, with new properties set to open in Spain and Israel, as well as a second hotel in Birmingham.
The 77-room Hotel Indigo Barcelona Plaza Catalunya will be located close to the city’s famous Paseo de Gracia shopping district, and a 92-room property is also scheduled to open in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv next year.
Meanwhile the 60-room Hotel Indigo Birmingham Waterloo Street will join the brand’s existing property which is located within the city’s Cube building on Wharfside Street.
Hotel Indigo currently has nine European properties – seven in the UK and two in Germany. The group also has a hotel also under development in Cardiff (see online news May 21), and is set to open the Hotel Indigo London Kensington Earl's Court in January next year.
