Cathay opens Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport lounge

29 Aug 2012

Cathay Pacific has opened a new lounge for its business and first class passengers who are flying out of Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport.

The 600-sqm lounge is located on level two in the connection building between Terminal 2A and 2C. It shares many of the design features of Cathay’s The Wing lounge in Hong Kong (see story here).

The dining area has a self-service buffet providing a range of western and Asian dishes along with a bar offering freshly prepared Asian noodles.

An IT zone features six individual workstations installed with personal computers. There is also free wifi and power sockets available all through the lounge.

The lounge has a number of soft chairs for relaxation. It also has five of Cathay’s specially designed Solus chairs which have padded seats with high backs wrapping round to create a private compartment with a small table.

The Solus chairs are all positioned next to the lounge’s large window, which lets natural light flood in and offers views over the airport ramp and runway.

There are also four shower suites.

The lounge facilities are available to and Business Class passengers, Silver and above Marco Polo Club members and Sapphire and above oneworld members.

Cathay Pacific is adding a second daily flight between Paris and Hong Kong from September 2 to provide more flexibility to passengers.
