The Rosedale Hotel Group has opened its second Hong Kong property in the Tai Kok Tsui district on the west side of the Kowloon Peninsula.
The Rosedale Kowloon Hotel has 435 guestrooms tailored to cater to business travellers with free wifi, ample desk space, and audio video facilities.
Deluxe twin room
It provides good provision for travellers’ different schedules, with computer corner and gym facilities both opening 24-hours a day. The hotel does not have any meeting or event facilities.
The hotel is located close to Olympic MTR Station, which is two stops from Central district on Hong Kong Island and one stop to the newly completed International Commerce Centre and an interchange for the Airport Express shuttle service.
Tai Kok Tsui district is one of Hong Kong’s older neighbourhoods but has been surrounded by new developments and has seen several smaller hotels opening up in recent years.
Rosedale’s first Hong Kong hotel is located in the Causeway Bay area of Hong Kong Island. Rosedale said that by opening the new hotel it hoped to provide travellers with a better choice of locations in the city.
The hotel group, which has previously focused largely on China, says it is planning to expand its reach across Asia.
A spokesperson said there are 15 countries in Asia where it is seeking opportunities to open properties, particularly Southeast Asian nations such as Thailand, Vietnam Cambodia and newly opened up Myanmar.
