Asiana Airlines introduces OZ First Suite

26 Jul 2012

Asiana Airlines has introduced its new “OZ First Suite” to first class cabins on its B777-200ER aircraft serving the Incheon-Chicago, Incheon-Narita and Incheon-Ho Chi Minh routes.

The suites (named after the carrier's IATA code) feature sliding doors to maximise privacy, individual air ventilation systems and an LCD seat function control unit on the armrest which allows passengers to recline the seat or alter the lighting at their fingertips.

There is also a minibar and personal cabinet in the suite, as well as the world’s largest airborne TV, with a 32-inch high-definition screen.

The suites also include a sophisticated lighting system, which provides mood lighting at different points during the flight and a "star light" option.

An additional chair in the suite allows for a two-person dining experience at the seat table, and the dividing wall between passengers can be lowered.

Asiana plans to equip another aircraft with the OZ First Suite in the near future, and increase the total number to eight by 2013. Currently they are considering aircraft and route options but have not made any decisions yet, a spokesperson commented.

Asiana Airlines flies from Incheon to Chicago four times a week, to Narita four times a day and Ho Chi Minh twice daily.
