Wyndham to open first Scottish property

24 Jul 2012 by BusinessTraveller

The Wyndham Hotel Group is to open its second UK property, and its first in Scotland.

Scheduled to open in 2015, Wyndham Grand the Angus will join the Wyndham Grand London Chelsea Harbour (for a review click here), and will be located around five miles outside Dundee, next to the existing Forbes of Kingennie Resort.

The five-star hotel will feature 187 rooms and ten lodges, situated next to a Darren Clarke-designed championship golf course.

Facilities will include a spa, 20-metre infinity pool, spa bath, gym, two dance studios, two restaurants, hotel and clubhouse bars, and “extensive meeting and conference facilities”.

In 2010 Wyndham announced plans for a Cardiff property (see online news March 24, 2010), as part of the Bayscape development. Due to the economic downturn this development has been delayed and it’s not currently clear if Wyndham is still involved with the project. Business Traveller has contacted the group for clarification and will post any updates here.
