13 Jul 2012

Changi Airport has announced the completion of upgrade works to its Terminal 1 (T1) and a ceremony to mark the occasion is to be held on July 18, 2012. Business Traveller China editor, Delia Lin, will be attending the ceremony and inspect the facility to bring you an exclusive report.

The revamp project of T1 commenced in May 2008 with an investment of S$500 million (US$394 million), and it involved turning the interior into a "Tropical City" and restructuring key areas such as departure check-in, departure transit mall and arrival hall to improve passenger flow. An area of 22,000 sqm has been added to the building, bringing the total floor space to 308,000 sqm.
