Regional carrier Flybe has increased the dimensions of its hand luggage allowance by 20 per cent.
Passengers may now take carry-on luggage measuring up to 55x40x23cm. This compares to 55x40x20cm with Ryanair, and 56x45x25cm with both Easyjet and British Airways.
Commenting on the move Simon Lilley, Flybe’s director of marketing said:
“Flybe has listened to our passengers’ feedback in relation to hand-held luggage so have worked on maximising our carry-on dimensions to the greatest possible allowance that can be accommodated on our aircraft. We know that a lot of our passengers fly day returns or just stay overnight. They enjoy the convenience of hassle-free regional airports and this change will make travelling with hand baggage even easier.
To co-incide with the change the carrier is also offering customers cabin-approved Antler luggage for £50 (RRP £120) – for more information visit flybe.com.
