Changi Airport enhances free city tours

25 Jun 2012

Changi Airport has enhanced its Free Singapore Tour services, adding an evening itinerary to its free city tours for transit passengers.

Passengers, with at least five hours in transit, can now choose from two tours: Heritage Tour and City Lights Tour.

The two-hour Heritage tour will include popular tourist spots, including the Singapore Flyer, Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay Sands, Colonial District, Merlion Park and Chinatown. It will take place at four different time slots: between 0900 and 1100, between 1130 and 1330, between 1440 and 1630 and the last tours will take place between 1600 and 1800.

The City Lights Tour, which will take place between 1830 and 2030, will cover the popular nightlife spots, such as the Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade and the night market at Bugis Village.

Prior to this upgrade, there was no evening tour and passengers had a choice between two different day itineraries, stated a spokesperson for the airport.

Passengers will need to register at least an hour before the start of a tour at the dedicated Free Singapore Tours (FST) booths in terminals 2 and 3. In Terminal 2, the booth is located near the escalators to North Arrival Immigration on Level 2, and in Terminal 3, the booth is located next to the Transfer Lounge, also on Level 2.
