A new hotel in Tokyo, Agora Place Asakusa, will open its doors on July 27 close to the Tawaramachi metro station in Taito, northeast of Chiyoda, and offer guests a unique option of “personalising” their rooms.
The 146-room hotel will allow guests to choose their preferred amenities and stationary that can be found at the hotel lobby. “The guestrooms are stylishly minimalist in design and amenities are kept simple so guests can choose to furnish their rooms during their stay with us with a variety of chic goods on sale at the Lobby Shop located in the ground floor of the hotel”, said general manager Masaru Shirakawa. Amenities that guests can choose include pillows, cushions, tea bag choices and different types of hair dryers. A spokesperson from the hotel has clarified that most amenities are either complimentary or for lease, but as with most hotels, guests can also purchase some of the items.
The hotel also consists of pet-friendly accommodation designed for those travelling with domesticated animal companions.
Other facilities include a PC corner and cafe on the ground floor and a laundry room on the third floor.
