Shangri-La Singapore unveils refurbished Garden Wing

11 Jun 2012

The iconic Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore, located just off Orchard Road, has unveiled its refurbished 158-room Garden Wing, one of the three at the hotel. A new restaurant and spa are to follow later this year.

Rooms in the Garden Wing, all of which consist of balconies overlooking the property’s garden or swimming pool, have been redecorated to complement the hotel’s surrounding greenery, with rooms decked out in light wood furniture, earthy tones and nature-inspired art pieces.

With an emphasis on well being and relaxation, the Garden Wing will offer daily tai chi classes in the Garden Atrium between 0730 and 0800 and a koi feeding ceremony in the evening, at the wing’s waterfall and fish pond. Soon the wing will include the new Waterfall Garden Café and the hotel group’s signature Chi spa, scheduled to open in July and August respectively.

The Garden Wing will “redefine Singapore’s resort landscape as it is the only urban resort located within the city centre,” said Manfred Weber, general manager of the hotel.

Shangri-La Singapore is also comprised Tower Wing, which is more contemporary in style, and the exclusive Valley Wing, offering a private lobby, serviced apartments and residences, as well as personalised stationary for each guest.
