Skywork to increase LCY-Bern frequency

8 Jun 2012 by BusinessTraveller

Swiss regional carrier Skywork Airlines is to increase its service between London City and Bern to three times-daily (Monday to Friday) from the start of the winter schedules.

A new lunchtime flight (departing Bern at 1240 and LCY at 1355) will be added from October 29, complimenting existing morning and evening services.

Skywork launched the route last year (see online news March 8, 2011), and CEO Tomislav Lang said:

“We are delighted to be taking the London route to three times daily, Monday to Friday. There was some cynicism when we first arrived on the route, especially as we were flying alongside the bigger, more well-known carriers, but we have received the warmest welcome and have won terrific loyalty for our services.”

The carrier also said it is to work with “established carriers at London City with a view to adding connecting flights in both the UK & Ireland”.
