Air France deploys A380 to Singapore from Paris

7 Jun 2012 by ReggieHo

Air France officially begins to deploy the A380 on its Paris-Singapore route this month for three times a week. The other flights on this route are serviced by the Boeing 777-300ER, which features the 10-abreast layout in economy class. The A380 is surely going to provide a much more comfortable experience. The Lion City is the airline's second Asian destination after Japan to enjoy the superjumbo services. The airline had several test flights to the Southeast Asian hub with the aircraft since April, before the formal launch.

On the airline's A380 there is a gallery as well as six bars across different cabins and the new in-flight entertainment system featuring larger video screens.

By using the A380, the airline can increase capacity on the Singapore-Paris route by some 30 per cent. The move shows the European carrier’s optimism in its growth prospects in the Asia-Pacific region despite economic crisis back home.
