Pan Pacific Hotel Group has announced a second Pan Pacific Serviced Suites property in its home base, Singapore, aiming for early-2013 opening.
Named after the street on which it is located, the 180-room Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Beach Road is close to its sister property – the Parkroyal on Beach Road – and at the doorstep of the city’s main commercial district.
This will be the group’s fourth Pan Pacific-branded serviced suites property, following the forthcoming 200-room Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Ningbo (see story here) and the 325-room Parkroyal Serviced Suites Green City in Shanghai (see story here) later this year.
The group’s ambition to grow in the extended-stay sector is reflective of the increasing demand in this niche across Asia. Patrick Imbardelli, president and chief executive of Pan Pacific Hotels Group, said: “This is key for us; the extended stay segment in China and Asia presents huge opportunities for us and we intend to fully capitalise on our strengths in the area.” For an in-depth feature about the rise of serviced suites and apartments across the region, subscribers can view our feature from the Business Traveller Asia-Pacific May 2012 issue here.
