More details about Cathay Pacific’s previously reported route readjustment plans (see story here) have been revealed, with frequencies reduced for flights to Los Angeles, New York and Toronto from September 16 onwards.
According to industry website airlineroute.net, the number of flights for the Los Angeles service will be reduced from 21 to 17 per week, operating three times a day (flight CX884) only on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays instead of on a daily basis. The third flight on those days will be using a new Boeing B777-300ER that consists of a premium economy cabin and no first class (for a review of the premium economy seat, click here).
Flights to New York JFK will be adjusted from 21 per week to 18 per week, operating only twice a day on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays instead of three times a day.
The carrier’s Toronto service will also be lowered from 10 to seven flights per week.
Business Traveller Asia-Pacific has checked the carrier's booking engine and these changes are reflected, however the airline had not responded to a request for confirmation at the time of going to press.
