Accor opens Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit

17 May 2012

Not long after the opening of the Sofitel So Bangkok (see story here) and the newly rebranded Pullman Bangkok Hotel G (see story here), Accor opened the Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit last month, further diversifying the group’s Thai portfolio.

The 345-room hotel, located in the city’s central business district along Sukhumvit, boasts a unique layered stainless steel and glass façade, and a décor inspired by the French contemporary art deco style.

All rooms consist of wifi internet access, an iPod docking station, multimedia port and a Bose wave music system. While guests in standard rooms will enjoy L'Occitane bathroom amenities, all club room and suite guests will enjoy Hermes amenities.

One of the hotel’s attractions is French rooftop bar and restaurant L’Appart, designed to echo the style of 17th century designer Baron Haussmann, complete with an outdoor terrace and a library. The hotel consists of five other F&B outlets, including a patisserie.

Other amenities at the property include Thailand’s first Le Spa with L’Occitane, an outdoor swimming pool and a gym.

Another unique selling point of this hotel is its meeting spaces, which are the largest in Bangkok all sprawled across three dedicated floors, including the Le Grand Ballroom that can accommodate up to 800 guests.
