Tune Hotels to open in Jakarta

8 May 2012

Budget hotel brand, Tune Hotels, is poised to open its first property in Jakarta on July 12, located in one of Jakarta’s long-standing business districts.

The 168-room Tune Hotels Pasar Baru is close to the large shopping complex, Mangga Dua, the Pasar Baru market and the Kemayoran Expo Centre, which makes it attractive for both business and leisure travellers.

As with other Tune properties, the hotel provides only the basic facilities, and while all rooms have attached bathrooms, guests can choose to add on extra amenities such as wifi, towels and toiletries.

To coincide with the opening, special room rates starting at US$8 are on offer. Bookings, however, must be made online between from now until May 14, for stays between July 12 and December 31 this year.

Tune Hotels has been expanding rapidly in both Asia-Pacific and overseas, reflecting a demand for the limited service pay-per-use system. This year alone, the hotel group opened a property in Manila (see story here) and in London (see story here), with three more openings in the Philippines and two more in different parts of London coming later this year.
