Nigerian flag carrier Arik Air has today (May 1) introduced a complimentary chauffeur drive service for its UK business class customers.
A driver will pick passengers up from anywhere within a 80 km radius of London Heathrow and drop them off at Terminal 4, where the airline's daily flight to Lagos departs. The vehicle will be either a Mercedes-Benz or Ford Galaxy and are fully air conditioned, with customers able to take advantage of free daily newspapers and wifi access.
The scheme only applies to bookings made in business class originating in the UK for the Heathrow to Lagos route. After booking their ticket customers should contact the Arik Air chauffeur line on +44 (0)844 482 2320 to arrange the pickup time. They will receive an SMS confirmation a day before departure, when the driver is 15 minutes away and again once the chauffeur is outside.
Customers with pre-existing bookings can also utilise this new service and may have already been contacted by the airline.
