Hilton Worldwide announced the opening of the Doubletree by Hilton Gurgoan-New Delhi, which is the group’s sixth property and second Doubletree in Delhi.
The 184-room hotel is located on Golf Course Road and close to the commercial district of the up and coming satellite city in the National Capital Region, which will soon be connected to Delhi’s metro network (see story here), making it very convenient and accessible.
Guests at the hotel will be greeted – as they would at other Doubletree properties at check-in – with a chocolate chip cookie. On top of basic in-room amenities, the hotel will also offer wifi and wired internet access, remote printing facilities and an MP3 player dock.
The property consists of four food and beverage outlets, including Casablanca, which will be the city’s first restaurant to serve Moroccan cuisine when it opens in the second quarter of this year.
Other facilities include a 24-hour business centre, 900 sqm of meeting spaces, an outdoor pool and a gym.
Late last year, Hilton Worldwide opened a Hilton branded property near Noida (see story here), another satellite city in the NCR but one which is already connected to the metro. Noida is also home to another Doubletree.
Gurgaon’s rising importance is reflected not only by other new hotel openings such as a Swissotel hotel poised to open next year (see story here), but also by a surge in the number of international firms setting up offices in the area.
