The big picture: British Airways' refurbished B767 Club World seat

10 Apr 2012 by BusinessTraveller
British Airways has released images of the refurbished Club World seat on its B767 aircraft, serving routes including New York Newark. The seats now feature the same brown herringbone-stitch cover as on the carrier's A318 Club World London City flights. Note that this is a refurbishment rather than an entirely new seat - indeed BA's B767 fleet feature the carrier's older Club World seat design - or as BA puts it on its website "The original, award-winning Club World cabin featuring the world's first fully flat bed is fitted on our Boeing 767 aircraft". Other new features of the refreshed cabin include “refurbished sidewalls, bulkheads and toilets, new carpets and curtains, as well as recessed ceilings with larger overhead lockers allowing extra luggage space and new lighting throughout”. Business Traveller is attending a BA press trip later this month to experience both the refurbished seating and the carrier's new lounge at Newark airport (see online news April 5), and will report further on this site following the trip.
