Luxury Paris property the Hotel de Crillon is to close for a two-year refurbishment programme later this year.
According to French newspaper Le Monde the hotel will close this autumn, with renovation works including the creation of new spa facilities.
Located at the end of the Champs Elysee, the 147-room hotel is one of seven Paris hotels designated the prestigious Palace hotel rating.
The hotel will join the Ritz Paris in closing for refurbishment later this year.
The French capital has seen a raft of new luxury properties open over the last twelve months, including the Mandarin Oriental Paris (see online news June 28, 2011), W Paris Opera, and the Shangri-La Paris (for a review of this property click here).
Peninsula Hotels is also set to open its first European property in paris next year.
