Emirates is to launch daily flights to Washington DC on September 12, the carrier’s seventh US destination.
Flights will be operated with B777-300ER aircraft fitted with eight first class suites, 42 business class seats and 304 in economy.
EK231 will depart Dubai at 0220 and arrive into Washington at 0850, with the return leg leaving the US at 1055 and landing back in Dubai at 0800 the next day.
Fellow Gulf carrier Qatar Airways also offers daily flights from Doha to Washington, and Etihad Airways is set to launch daily services from March 31, 2013 (see online news February 23).
US destinations currently served by Emirates include Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Seattle.
